Russian Helicopters Shows BAS-750, Multirole Copter Drone With 200Kg Payload

There is something unique among the density of Russian weapons titles in the 2022 Army, namely the figure of an unmanned mini helicopter with brown striped paint. From the looks of it, it's obvious that this is a helicopter drone with attack capabilities.

And for the first time, Russian Helicopters (part of the Rostec State Corporation) introduced a drone copter labeled BAS-750.

Besides being able to be equipped with light weapons on the wing, the BAS-750 which is the result of the development of the BAS-200, can also be assigned to search missions, geodesy, mapping, monitoring agricultural land, roads, water bodies, oil and gas infrastructure, electricity supply lines, communications. and pipelines, as well as cargo transportation.

From the specification info listed on the side of the BAS-750, it is stated that this drone has a maximum weight at takeoff of 750 kg, with a payload of 200 kg that can be carried.

Oleg Yevtushenko, Executive Director of Rostec said that with a payload of 200 kg, this drone copter can fly at a speed of 180 km per hour. Technically, the BAS-750 can fly up to an altitude of 3,500 meters.

With Line of Sight control from the mobile Ground Control Station (GCS), the BAS-750 can fly as far as 150 km with an endurance of 6 hours.

In a typical configuration, the drone copter is equipped with an optoelectronic system, five cameras for day-night flight, and the ability to return to the point of departure even in the absence of satellite navigation data.

The type of engine adopted on the BAS-750 is not explained. For dimensions, the BAS-750 has a length of 8.30 x 2.38 x 2.27 meters.
