Precisely, the Land of the Subcontinent will 'place' the first production facility outside Sweden to produce anti-tank rockets that are currently selling well in the market, the Carl Gustaf M4.

Saab itself has been present in India for more than four and a half decades. Even India has produced the Carl Gustaf M3 through local company arrangements.
Saab is said to be planning to start production of the Carl Gustaf M4 in India in 2024, i.e. through an option of 74 - 100 per cent equity participation, while supporting the 'Make in India' campaign. Saab in this case will also export the M4 manufactured in India.
"The finished product will be transported back to Saab's parent company in Sweden before being shipped to other customers," said Gorgen Johansson, Saab Business Area Dynamics.
Interestingly, there is a clause requested by India, that Carl Gustaf M4 products made in India may not be sold to enemies of India, such as Pakistan.
Johansson said he hoped to get government approval for the production. This will be Saab's first manufacturing facility outside Sweden for the Carl Gustaf M4. “It is a natural step to establish a production facility for the Carl Gustaf M4 in India given the long and close relationship we have with the Indian Army as one of the main users of the system,” he said.
It is not explained about the investment value for opening a Saab factory in India, but the entry of foreign investment in the defense sector is usually based on the existence of a weapons procurement contract in the country concerned. And so far there is no information, for the planned purchase of the Carl Gustaf M4 by the Indian military.
A new company, Saab FFV India Pvt Ltd, is currently in the registration process, it will manufacture the Carl Gustaf M4 weapon system, which is 30 percent lighter than the older version. The ammunition will still be imported from the Saab factory in Sweden.

Produced by Saab Bofors Dynamics, Carl Gustaf enters as a reusable anti-tank weapon, meaning this weapon can be used repeatedly, aka the launcher can be reloaded with bullets / projectiles.
