The TB0D Scorpion D is 10.5 meters long, 3.1 meters high and has a wingspan of 20 meters. According to the manufacturer, the drone's maximum takeoff weight is 4,350 kg, and the maximum payload payload is 1,500 kg.
The Scorpion D's cargo compartment is believed to be approximately 31 square feet and five cubic meters, which will offer ample space to transport supplies and miscellaneous equipment. Tengden Technology announced that this drone will make its first public debut at the China Airshow 2022, which will take place in Zhuhai, South China's Guangdong Province, in November 2022.
The Scorpion D is built on the original Twin-Tailed Scorpion drone, it has an extra engine and power generator, enabling it to carry larger and larger payloads, providing better power support, and offering better system reliability and flight safety.
Founded in 2016, Tengden Technology currently has more than 50 investors, including private and state-owned businesses, individuals, and institutional investors, with Industrial Bank Co. Ltd. as the biggest investor.
Judging from the capabilities and specifications, Scorpion D is likely to be acquired soon for the needs of the Chinese military.
